Dentist Pleasant Prairie

Dana Varriello, DMD

Dr. Dana Varriello is a New Jersey native and was raised on the Jersey Shore. She played competitive sports throughout her youth and went on to play Division I softball at the University of Delaware, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Medical Sciences.

Dr. Dana moved to the Chicago suburbs where she completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine – Illinois in 2025. Throughout dental school, Dr. Varriello held various leadership positions in several student organizations. Upon graduation, she was the recipient of Midwestern University Excellence in Research Award.

Dr. Dana is passionate about delivering personalized care that supports both the oral health and confidence of her patients. She offers a wide range of services, including veneers, implants, crowns, root canals, extractions, and composite bonding. Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Dana continues to expand her skills to provide comprehensive treatment plans that improve overall well-being.

In her free time, she enjoys reading and writing, watching football on Sundays, cooking with her fiancé Brandon, spending time near the water, going on walks with her puppy Arlo, and visiting family in New Jersey. She is looking forward to getting to know each patient and providing outstanding, compassionate care.

Aaron Groves, DDS

Dr. Aaron Groves brings both passion and purpose to every patient he sees. His journey to dentistry began in eighth grade, when shadowing a family friend who happened to be a dentist — and witnessing the meaningful relationships she had built with her patients — sparked a calling he never let go of. Before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa, Aaron spent eight years as a dental assistant, giving him a deep, hands-on understanding of patient care from every angle. He completed a fellowship at Tri-County Community Dental in Appleton, Wisconsin, and has been practicing as a dentist for three years, with a special focus on oral surgery and restorative dentistry.

Aaron’s approach is straightforward: he wants every patient to leave the chair not just treated, but truly informed. He takes the time to walk through each tooth and explain the reasoning behind every recommendation, so there are never any surprises. He’s a natural problem-solver who genuinely enjoys the process of listening to a patient’s concerns and crafting a plan that fits their individual needs and goals.

Outside the office, Aaron is every bit as energetic. He competes in triathlons and marathons, plays basketball and pickleball, and loves exploring national parks and hiking trails with his wife, Catia. He’s also a proud Pittsburgh Steelers fan and a self-described foodie — so if you have a great restaurant recommendation, he’s all ears.

Patients consistently describe Aaron as gentle and a good listener, and it shows. Whether you’re coming in for a routine visit or something more complex, you’ll always feel like you’re in caring, capable hands.

Some of the things Bridget appreciates most about working at Old Oaks Dental are the state-of-the-art equipment, beautiful views and environment, and the wonderful team that genuinely cares about every patient.

Driven by her desire to care for others, Samantha later enrolled at Gateway Technical College and earned her CNA license. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for several years before eventually finding her way to the Old Oaks Dental team.

Esther

– Administration

Esther is a friendly and enthusiastic member of our front desk team, bringing three years of dental experience and an infectious energy to every patient interaction. What first drew Esther into the field was simply the desire to learn something new — and what has kept her here is the realization that in dentistry, the learning truly never stops. That curiosity and growth mindset shine through in everything she does.

When it comes to welcoming new patients, Esther believes it’s not just about what you say — it’s about how you say it. She greets every person who walks through the door with a warm smile and a positive attitude, knowing that tone and delivery can set the entire tone for someone’s visit. Her goal is simple: to help in any way she can, and to make every interaction feel genuine and personal.

Outside the office, Esther is just as vibrant. You’ll likely find her at the gym, lost in a good book, or enjoying the outdoors whenever she gets the chance. She’s also a devoted movie fan and a proud aunt to five nieces and nephews who keep her wonderfully busy. When she needs to decompress, she turns to coloring — a creative outlet she truly loves. Above all, family is at the center of Esther’s world. She comes from a big, close-knit family, and that deep sense of warmth and connection is something she naturally brings with her to work every single day.
