Bridget – Registered Dental Hygienist
Our dental hygienist Bridget is originally from Medora, Indiana. After moving to the Kenosha area, she graduated from Bradford High School and later went on to graduate from Milwaukee Area Technical College with her license in Dental Hygiene. She also has a good deal of continuing education, including her licensure in Dental Anesthetics. The beginning of her journey into the dental field is the fact that she has always loved smiles. She worked at a dental office as a teenager, cleaning and filling charts. She watched their hygienist and knew that dental hygiene was her passion – and it still is. Bridget enjoys the preventative side of dentistry: she takes her responsibility in this role very seriously by teaching homecare, effective instrumentalism, investigate issues for our dentist, and discuss nutrition and overall wellness. In addition to her skill and experience, she brings to our office an ability to make dental appointments informative yet fun for our patients with her welcoming personality and great laugh. Some of the things she likes best about working at Old Oaks Dental are our state-of-the-art equipment, beautiful views/environment, and our wonderful team, which truly cares about our patients. Outside of the office, Bridget loves to spend time with friends and family, especially her husband, Michael, and their two adult children: Kayla, who is married and welcomed her first child, Audrey, and Kyle, who is attending Carthage College. Bridget’s hobbies include party-planning, gardening, long walks, boating, and anything in the warm sunshine.
Angela – Registered Dental Hygienist
Our dental hygienist Angela was born and raised in Kenosha and graduated from Tremper High School. She went on to attend and graduate from Milwaukee Area Technical College with her license in Dental Hygiene. What drew her to the dental field is her love for working with people and helping them. Her philosophy of dental care is that it should be painless, and there is always something that can be done to make things more comfortable. She is also focused on making the connection between broad medical and dental to aid in best treatment. Angela always focuses on patient care to give them the best experience possible in the dental chair. What she enjoys most about working in our office are the patients who feel like family and the supportive, tight-knit relationship of our team. Outside of the office, Angela loves spending time with her family, including her husband, Dan; their three children, Vinny, Pia, and Penelope; and their two dogs, Kaia (a Chihuahua) and Maribel (a Great Dane). Some of her favorite activities include traveling, hiking, and taking photos for fun.
Sofia – Certified Dental Assistant
Our dental assistant Sofia was born and raised in Racine and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School. After high school, she enrolled in and graduated from Gateway Technical College’s Dental Assistant Program with her Dental Assisting certification. She always had an interest in dental assisting – her natural attributes of organizing and paying attention to detail really made this career appealing to her. When it comes to her approach to dental care, she focuses on truly listening to what the patient is saying and feeling, both physically and in specific terms of dental health. She always works to provide the best care possible to the best of her ability. Sofia has a genuine interest in helping others, which comes across to our patients and our whole team. In addition to her skills and experience, she also brings to our office a warm and welcoming disposition. One of the things she likes best about working at Old Oaks Dental is that it feels like family here. When she isn’t helping patients and our team, Sofia loves spending time with her husband, son, daughter, and their dog, Rosie. Some of her favorite activities include fitness, music, and visiting/exploring new places. She has a goal of visiting every state in the United States by the end of her life.
Melissa – Dental Assistant
Our dental assistant Melissa was born in Racine but has lived in Kenosha all her life. After graduating from Tremper High School, she attended Gateway Technical College and is now working on her CDA certificate. What made her want to enter the dental field is she was looking to come out of her comfort zone and try something new – she now loves what does. In terms of dental care, Melissa always works to make patients feel comfortable while they are in the chair and make them feel better about their smiles. She always comes to work with a positive attitude and a focus on delivering the best patient care possible. What she likes most about working in our office is having a great work family and wonderful patients. Outside of the office, Melissa enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her two fur babies: Baloo, a Cane Corso, and Betito, a silver lab. Some of the activities she enjoys most are going on vacation with family, helping out her church, and hanging out (and taking long naps) with her new niece, Abigail.
Brittany – Dental Assistant
Brittany was born and raised in Kenosha. After graduating from Park High School in Racine, she went on to attend and graduate from Gateway Technical College’s Dental Assisting program with President’s Honors. She is now pursuing her CDA certification and was accepted into Gateway’s shared Dental Hygiene program with MATC. What first drew her to the dental field is her to desire to help others and the fact that when she was in her orthodontic treatments, she liked the environment and thought dental could be a way to do that. Brittany’s philosophy of care is that everyone should be treated like family and should always receive the highest quality of care. Since joining our team, she’s made an immediate positive impact through her caring heart and willingness to do whatever it takes to help those around her. What she enjoys best about being a part of Old Oaks Dental is that our team are so welcoming and create a real family atmosphere for our staff and patients. While she enjoys work, Brittany’s family is the center of her world, especially her husband, Anthony, and their two boys, Nicholis and Johnathon. She also loves animals and has two cats (Miklo and Gracie) and two dogs (Bonnie and Clyde). Some of her favorite activities are hiking, gardening, doing family movie nights, and trying out new recipes.
Samantha – Office Coordinator
The head of our office administrative team, Samantha, was born and raised in Kenosha. She graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School and initially continued her education by going into Early Childhood Education. She ultimately wanted to achieve her goal of caring for others and enrolled at Gateway Technical College to receive her CNA license, practicing as a CNA for several years before finding her way to our team. As a child, she always thought it was wonderful that the front desk ladies and doctors actually knew her by name and appearance when she would walk through the doors – her goal is to provide that same experience in making our patients feel at home. Samantha’s approach to dental care is to make patients feel that we truly care and have their best interest at heart: she strives to always show compassion and understanding to each individual’s life circumstances and never let any patient feel like just a number. She wears many hats in the office – from friendly voice on the phone to hygiene assistant – and in everything she does reveals her optimism and big heart. When she thinks about the things she appreciates about our office, she loves the family we have built, the amazing team we’ve assembled, and the atmosphere that is so inviting and refreshing. She loves the relationships we have with our patients: so much more than just cleaning teeth, we’re invested in their lives and love watching them grow. When Samantha isn’t working, she loves spending time with friends and family, especially her husband, their wonderful daughter, and their two dogs. She enjoys camping as much as possible and – while she wouldn’t say she has a green thumb – caring for succulents…she takes pride in her cacti!
Allyson – Office Administrator
Our office admin Ally was born in Lake Forest, Illinois, and has lived in the Kenosha area her whole life. She graduated from Indian Trail High School, and she is currently attending UW-Parkside for her Bachelor’s in Business for Healthcare Management. She was a patient at our office before she became an employee: She told our dentist Dr. Johnson what she was going to school for, he gave her an opportunity to shadow, and she fell in love with the position and the office. When it comes to patient care, Ally wants everyone who enters our office to feel comfortable and well informed, and she tries her hardest to make everyone laugh. What she likes most about being a part of our Old Oaks office is her amazing coworkers, who are all welcoming and have the biggest hearts for one another and our patients. When she isn’t working, Ally likes to relax, go to Crumbl Cookies with her grandmother, and spend time with her fur baby, her cat named Nala.
